Wingfield Park - Reno
Wingfield Park, located in downtown Reno, Nevada, is without a doubt the central hub of downtown Reno. On any given weekend during the summer, you will find thousands of people downtown enjoying a day on the Truckee River, shooting hoops at Barbara Bennett park, or lounging under one of the shade trees in Wingfield Park West.

Several sub-parks make up Wingfield, including Wingfield East, where the main amphitheater and stage is for Art Town and other events downtown, Wingfield West, which is comprised of a large grassy area on the west side of Arlington Ave, the Truckee River Whitewater Park, and Barbara Bennett Park.
A few years ago in the Wingfield area, the Truckee River underwent a dramatic transformation, changing fro ma river with little to no river access to a whitewater park which includes river access from nearly any point in Wingfield, and a whitewater park which has gained national attention.
It's the only whitewater park in the United States that offers all of the following attributes:

- Great variety of whitewater activities for different skill levels
- Easy public and spectator access
- Favorable year-round climate
- Designed to accommodate low water flows to ensure usability during dry spells
- Situated in mountain adventure area that also offers skiing, golf, mountain biking and more
